FAQ’S
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect during my first therapy session?
In our first session, we’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, all about you and what you hope to achieve. This is a chance for us to get to know each other, and for me to understand your concerns and goals. I’ll also explain how I work and answer any questions you might have.
Do you offer virtual or in person sessions?
I offer both! I have an in-person office in Commack, NY, and I also provide virtual sessions for clients in NY and FL.
How long is a therapy session?
Our first session is 60 minutes and subsequent sessions are typically last 45 minutes. This allows us enough time to delve into your concerns while respecting your schedule. Sessions length and frequency will depend on your personal treatment plan.
What areas do you specialize in?
I specialize in perinatal mental health, including postpartum depression and anxiety, perinatal loss, and infertility. I specialize in women’s mental health and provide support for general anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. My goal is to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space for you to explore and address your concerns.
How do I schedule an appointment?
I like to hop on a quick 15 min call to make sure we are a right fit prior to booking the first session. You can schedule an intro call by clicking here , calling/texting (631) 380-4999 or emailing me at caitlin@nurturedbloomtherapy.com
What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible. I understand that life happens, but giving notice allows others to make use of the time slot. I require at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
How can therapy help me?
Therapy provides a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behaviors, and develop strategies for managing challenges. It can help you navigate difficult emotions, improve relationships, and work towards personal goals.
What should I do if I’m in crisis?
If you’re in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis, please call emergency services at 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
